Dawn has been in the fitness industry for 13 years, teaching a number of different exercise classes and Personal Training.
6 years ago Dawn suffered a blow to her shoulder which caused a muscle imbalance. Dawn then worked with the Pilates technique and corrected her body balance/alignment. Realising what a wonderful technique Pilates was and how much the public could benefit from it, she soon got qualified via the Pilates Institute.
Dawn can be found fully qualified on the Register of Exercise Professionals.
Pilates addresses the whole body, working the deeper muscles, to strengthen core postural muscles and develop correct body alignment. It increases flexibility, range of motion, strengthens the deep abdomen and back muscles, thereby stabilising the spine and supporting the back. It is also great for toning the whole body to look lean and defined.
Pilates is a complete exercise programme and is suitable for all ages and abilities. It is also used for rehabilitation and for a number of conditions including neck and back pain, prolapsed discs and MS, etc. |
